Help Wanted
Nine Rubies Knitting is looking for some good people to help out at the store. Clearly, you should like people, otherwise this job is not for you. In fact, you have to like people a lot, love seeing their projects and helping them work on their projects. And be inspired by all those around you.
Some background for those of you that don’t know - Nine Rubies Knitting opened it’s doors in January 2006 - we’re very new. We have yarn - lots of it - and we have classes - knitting and crochet. We’re located at 28, E 3rd Avenue in San Mateo. Our phone number is 650-685-6205. We like being in downtown San Mateo. It’s well-connected by Caltrain and there is plenty of long-term parking for those that need some. Street parking can be spotty sometimes. My mother, Sudha, and I love running this store, here and now.
We’re looking for part-time and full-time - the schedules are flexible. Besides being super-nice to people, we would like people who know how to knit and/or crochet (duh!), help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the store and be capable of showing customers what can be done with yarn. And also of course, run a computerized cash register.
